Slip-On 'Race' system

A Porsche with the Akrapovic Slip-On Race exhaust system is noticeably more powerful between 3,000 and 6,500 rpm. It is therefore that much more pleasurable pushing it to its limits and making it roar with the distinctive GT3 sound. Its position to asphalt is also improved, because the Akrapovic Slip-On Race system offers an almost 10 kg weight reduction in comparison to the stock system. This offers a better power to weight ratio when power is greatly increased. Our engineers were also able to extract additional power of 17 HP* and torque of 30.2 Nm*. Our requirements for this supercar were very simple: a lighter, more powerful and better sounding exhaust system. Two hi-flow 100 cpsi metallic cats, larger tube diameters, measuring not 55, but 60 mm and reduced the power-consuming backpressure. This resulted in a power increase of 37.7 HP, a torque increase of 67.8 Nm and weight savings of 1.58 kg, compared to the stock (titanium) system. more details

The Evolution system adds a matched titanium header set boosting the power gain to over 40 HP and the total weight loss to over 5kg. The Evolution system therefore comprises: titanium header set, titanium link pipes with integrated 100 cpsi catalysts, titanium central muffler and titanium tail pipes. more details

Upgrade kit

The Akrapovič GT2 Upgrade Kit 1 consists of lightweight titanium headers with cast titanium flanges for a perfect, leak-free fit. In addition, the kit also includes a pair of high-flow sport catalysts (400 cpsi). These catalysts connect directly to the OEM titanium muffler without any alterations. The catalysts are designed such that no ECU reprogramming for GT2 (997) is required. The “Check Engine Light” will not be triggered with this installation at GT2 (997). 19 HP gain and 2kg weight loss.

The Akrapovic aftermarket Slip-On system is based on the same layout as the original exhaust system of the GT3 with valve control. In comparison to the aftermarket Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, the Slip-On does not contain an exhaust manifold with a 100 cpsi sports catalyst, but rather only a titanium muffler with two double round tail pipes. The muffler is easily installed on the original exhaust system. Another advantage is that it is homologated for road use. more details

The Akrapovic aftermarket Sports Cup exhaust system is based on the Porsche Sports Cup rules, which means retaining the original exhaust manifold with integrated catalysts. We therefore developed a performance and weight optimized titanium end muffler with appropriate link pipes as the connecting piece to the manifold. Akrapovic has once again developed the premier exhaust for the Porsche Turbo line. We begin with our very lightweight centre muffler made from our proprietary titanium alloy. Replacing the stock centre muffler alone reduces the weight at the back of the car by 4 kg.
The next option is to replace the stock link pipes with the Akrapovic variant made from titanium and incorporating either 100 cpsi or 200 cpsi high-flow catalysts (customer choice). These link pipes, when coupled with our titanium centre muffler, produce total weight savings of 8 kg compared with the stock system. more details

The street-legal Slip-On exhaust system gives the Clio RS an additional 2 horsepower, 4 Nm of torque, and reduces the weight by 4 kg. The Slip-On system also improves the driving characteristics at practically all rpms and gives the 2-liter engine that distinctive Akrapovic sound.
